[Video]: Alkene – “ Verbophobia ”

The new single of Alkene it’s called “Verbophobia” and has been available online for a few days, accompanied by the video by Elvio Carini and Andrea Sanson.

The clip of the song that anticipates the next album Ether, released in 2016, is presented as follows:

The images that flow in loop in the Verbophobia video introduce the concept behind the entire album: the idea of the dodecahedron intended as a representation of the ether.
According to Plato, this solid represents an immutable element that permeates the universe and represents « conservative life force of the memory of forms ».
A dualism that becomes a metaphor for the existential condition told by the Alkene. Matter and memory together become processes that are both necessary and immutable but also extremely nostalgic.

« The remote processing phases that we have gone through for this Ep, composed and recorded – for work reasons – in different places and not only in the studio, they led us to experiment with structures and arrangements in which we would not have ventured into a test room, allowing us a new but coherent approach to the direction traced with Hamartia » – Elvio Carini
